National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan
Shen-Ming Chen received his PhD degrees in chemistry from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. He was a visiting postdoctoral fellow with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry (Prof. Rudi van Eldik group), Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany in 1997. He joined Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taipei Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan in 1985. He had been an associate professor of Department of Chemical Engineering, National Taipei Institute of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan from 1991 to 1997. Since August 1997, he has been a full professor of Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan. He has been the Dean(Curator) of library, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 2000 to 2006 and the Director of Extracurricular Activity, office of student affairs, National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan from 1995 to 2000. He also received Distinguish Professor award from 2010. He has published over 480 research and review papers in international SCI journals. Two of our papers have been selected as the most cited papers in the Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry during the years 2005-2009. He have edited or attended two books for NOVA publications titled “Nanostructured Materials for Electrochemical Biosensors” and “Biosensors: Properties, Materials and Applications” and contributed four book chapters. His research interest includes electroanalytical Chemistry, bioelectrochemistry, chemical sensors, biosensors, electrocatalysis and electroanalysis, photoelectrochemistry, metalloproteins, metalloporphyrins, nanotechnology, spectroscopic techniques, scanning probe techniques, quartz crystal microbalance, materials research, fuel cells, solar cell and photovoltaic cells. We have edited or attended two books for NOVA publications titled “Nanostructured Materials for Electrochemical Biosensors” and “Biosensors: Properties, Materials and Applications” and contributed four book chapters. His research interest includes nanocomposites, Nanomaterials, electrochemical sensor, biosensor, photoelectrochemistry, Bionanotechnology, and bioelectrochemistry, He has published about 500 research papers in internationally peer reviewed journals.
Babes-Bolyai University, Romania
Lucian Baia earned his Ph.D. degree in 2003 at the University of Wuerzburg, Germany. Since 2008, he works as Associate Professor at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics and Advanced Technologies at the Faculty of Physics of the Babes-Bolyai University. His current research focuses on the obtaining and characterization of nanoarchitectures and materials with controllable morphology and structure for environmental and biomedical applications. He is author or coauthor of more than 120 peer-reviewed publications (h-index: 21), three books, and three book chapters, 3 patent applications and is serving as editorial board member for several scientific journals.

Catalin Zaharia is Professor of Polymer Science at University Politehnica of Bucharest and Project Team Leader in Advanced Polymer Material Group. Dr. Zaharia is currently involved in research projects on the use of polymers for drug delivery systems, tissue engineering, wound dressing etc. His main expertise focuses on natural compounds such as Bombyx mori silk, polyhydroxyalkanoates, bacterial cellulose, but also on polymeric composite materials with magnetic nanoparticles or layered double hydroxides. Hydrogels are also an important field of materials with biomedical applications.
University of Biskra, Algeria
Boumerzoug Zakaria has completed his Ph.D. in 1998 from Constantine University, and was Professor in 2005. He was in Biskra University, the head of Mechanical Engineering Department (from 1998 to 2005) and Metallurgy Department (from 2005 to 2009). He has published more than 40 papers in reputed journals and is serving as an editorial board member. He has organized seventh schools on materials characterization. He has supervised more than 10 PhD students. He has presented more than 20 conferences in different countries (France, Italy, Turkey, China, etc...). He has contributed as reviewer in some journals of materials science.
Oscar E Pérez
National Lanús University, Argentina
Professor at National Lanús University(Buenos Aires) in the Department of Productive Development and Technology. The has been trained in the field of nanoparticles, biopolymers and food colloids. Dr Pérez has expertise in nano and microencapsulation of bioactive compound, i.e. bioactives peptides, micronutrients, folic acid, insulin, growth factors. His research group has started the study of nanovesicleproduction generated by probiotic lactic acid bacteria, the purpose is exerting the "bio-nano-encapsulation” of nucleic acids and reporters overexpressed proteins, the so called interkingdom communication. He is author and co-author of more than 50 scientific works between papers in recognized journals and book chapters. He has also contributed to over 120 communications in conferences.

Jun Liu, Professor, Doctoral tutor, President of Shenyang Ligong University. ‘National Millions of Talents Project’ 100-person level candidates; Young expert for national outstanding contributions; National Education Ministry of inorganic non-metallic materials, the Steering Committee of the professional; Government special allowance recipients; Vice chairman of China Silicate Society cement Specialized Committee. Research interests: Low temperature concrete, new building materials research and evaluation, cement based composite material.
Seoul National University of Science and Technology, South Korea
Insup Noh, Seoul National Univ. of Science & Technology (Korea). Insup Noh is a professor at the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, and a director/founder of Convergence Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Biomaterials in the Seoul National Univ. of Science & Technology (Korea). Prof Insup Noh's expertise lies in the area of biomaterials for tissue engineering of bone, cartilage and blood vessels by using injectable hydrogels, 3D bioprining with both biodegrable polymers and ceramics. He published more than 100 reviewed papers, 16 patents, several book chapters and 1 book. He serves as an editor-in-chief of Biomaterials Research, and a regional editor-in-chief of Open Biomedical Engineering.
Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India
Anjan Sil is a professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. His field of specialization in research involves functional ceramics, energy storage materials and carbon nano-structures. He has been teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students for the last twenty four years. He has supervised twelve PhDs and presently four PhD students are working with him. He has about 65 research papers in reviewed journals and about 70 conference presentations. He had international collaborations with UK, USA and Australia and conducted a number of sponsored research projects. He has contributed a book chapter and filed a patent.
Anna University, India
Working in the department of chemistry Anna University as associate professor (started in 1998 as lecturer). Completed 13 sponsored projects [from DST,ISRO (RESPOND), UGC,CSIR and DRDO (all Indian sponsores)worth Rs.1.75 crores] and a consultancy project from PPG Industries, USA ($ 9,600). Guided 20 and guiding 6 Ph.D scolars in addition to M.Sc Applied chemistry, M.Phil Chemistry nd M.Tech Polymer Science and Engineering projects. Published more than 85 papers in reputed international/national journals. Presented papers regularly in national/international conferences ( Macro conferences organized by The Society for Polymer Science India, APM conferences organized by CIPET, India, ACS conferences in USA ICCE conference in USA to name a few). Reviewer for many journals like New Journal of chemistry, High performance polymers, Journal of Applied polymer Science, Polymer Engineering Science, Polymer chemistry (RSC) etc. Recently I have been awarded the UGC mid carrier award.

What is Materials Science-2018
In keeping with the Scientific Future Mission to aid the creation and sharing of materials science knowledge and experience, we are proud to announce the World Congress and Expo on Materials Science & Polymer Engineering, taking place in August 13-15, 2018 at London, UK.
